Dr. Capson has been in private practice in New York City for over 20 years. He is a NY State licensed psychologist and holds a doctoral degree from the prestigious Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology of Rutgers University.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and has a master's degree from City University of New York.  He has held a variety of professional positions including staff psychologist and adjunct assistant professor.  Dr. Capson's professional work has included general counseling and psychotherapy as well as psychoeducational evaluation and service planning for children and adolescents with a range of behavioral and learning disorders.  He was a crisis counselor for GMHC at its inception.  Dr. Capson also serves as a field supervisor for clinical psychology doctoral students at Rutgers University.
